He was a Master Mason with the Flora Masonic Lodge No. 119, member of the Quitman Chapter No. 695 Eastern Star. He is survived by, life-long friend for 63 years, Shirley Canaday Hall of Van; son, Jason Waldon and wife Kristen of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Jennifer Melton and husband Johnny Wayne of Emory; grandchildren, Daniel Melton, Lynleigh Waldon, Logan Waldon, Nathan Brown, Leah Lilly; aunt Jo Nell Gilbreath and his beloved weiner dog, Chloe.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773, Rev. Fred Morrow conducting, interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Quitman, with Joe Harding, Bruce Love, Todd Karch, Jim Davidson, Joe Doyle Reynolds, Gary McMurray serving as pallbearers.
