Welcome to the Wood County Marine Corps League Detachment.  We are known as the LCpl Shane L. Goldman Marine Corps League Detachment #1278, in honor of our fallen Marine brother.

 

We want to personally thank you for your interest in our Detachment and invite you to come to one of our meetings or any of our events.  When you attend, we would like the honor to meet you and be able to introduce you to our members.

 

We are an active Detachment that strives to uphold our Marine Corps League Mission.  We take pride in serving our Marines and Veterans throughout the entire life-span phases of their lives and beyond.  We begin our age of service to our local children through our Toys for Tots program and we provide school scholarships for young adults. We then serve our veterans throughout their adult years by providing programs such as a golf tournament, annual fishing and hunting trips, Marine Corps League Shooting team, Veteran's Day Parade and the Marine Corps Birthday and Veteran's Ball Celebration. We move to honor Veterans who have passed and buried in cemeteries throughout Wood County with Wreaths Across America and provide continued support to the widows and widowers of our fallen with Carry-On mission.
